Memories of My Birth & Christmas 1972

I was helping the boys clean up Legos when I found an old letter sitting on the ground. Apparently, it had fallen out of one of our family albums that had some old mementos passed on by my mom and dad. It is a Price Family Christmas letter dated 15 December 1972. Apparently, I was the author. Funny, since I didn't think my ability to compose mail and type on a typewrite occured within my first month on this planet, but nevertheless my name is attached to it. I was even cognizant of my siblings' progress in school and other pursuits. Nevertheless, my father... ever the frugal one... made the decision to combine the Christmas letter with my birth announcement because... get this!... "the postal service is going to require an eight-cent stamp on all Christmas mail sealed or not"!! Very interesting...

Anyways, should you feel the urge, click on it (so it will pull up in a larger frame) and read it. It's kind of a large file, so be patient (3MB in size). I scanned it with high resolution to ensure it was readable.

Apparently, 1972 was a trying year for our family economically. Good thing I came along as the "harbinger of better times" (DIRECT QUOTE FROM THE LETTER!). Okay... it's also a good thing my siblings can't post to this site and offer their own point of view on that comment.
